Washington real estate licensees are required to complete 30 hours of approved continuing education every 2 years by their license issue date. The education must include a mandatory 3-hour Core Course consisting of current issues in Washington residential or commercial real estate, as well as either the 3-hour or 6-hour Washington real estate Fair Housing course.
If you have not taken the initial 6-hour Washington Real Estate Fair Housing course, then you must complete this course first. Once you have taken the initial 6-hour course, you must then take the 3-hour Washington Real Estate Fair Housing course each time you renew. The 6-hour Washington Real Estate Fair Housing course does not satisfy the 3-hour Fair Housing course requirement for the subsequent renewals.
