Overview
New Jersey real estate licensees (except Salespersons Referral) are required to complete 12 hours of approved continuing education biennially by April 30. The current CE deadline is April 30, 2025 and the license renewal deadline is June 30, 2025.
The education must consist of at least 3 hours of Core, 2 hours of Ethics, 1 hour of Fair Housing & NJ Law Against Discrimination, and 1 hour of Agency. The remaining hours can be in elective topics or any mix of the CE course types: Elective, Core, Ethics, Agency, and Fair Housing. Please note that any of the mandatory topics of Agency, Fair Housing, and Ethics can also count as Core.

Complete Your CE by April 30, 2025 to Avoid a Renewal Fee: If you do not complete your education by April 30, 2025 you are still able to renew your license by completing the required 12 hours by June 30,2025 and paying a $200 late fee.
